Meet the Team


Chief Executive Officer

Dan Pittman serves as Chairman and CEO of Summit Wash Holdings. Most recently, Mr. Pittman was President and CEO of DRB Systems, a leading provider of technology-enabled devices and software solutions to the North American car wash industry and a former New Mountain portfolio company. While at DRB, he helped grow the Company’s EBITDA by over 100% on a run-rate basis during his 3+ years as CEO. As CEO, Mr. Pittman was responsible for devising DRB’s corporate strategy, increasing cross-company efficiency, and setting the Company’s culture. He also became the leading voice in the industry for growth and performance.

Mr. Pittman is a veteran of the car wash industry and operations management, as evidenced by his 9+ years of car wash industry experience and 25+ years of experience in operations. In addition to DRB, Mr. Pittman has previously held roles as an Operations Executive at TestAmerica and as an Executive Leader in Supply Chain, Service Support, and Operations at Diebold. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Administrative Management from Tennessee Temple University.


Chief Operating Officer

Kevin Matthews, Chief Operating Officer at Summit Wash Holdings, brings 20 years of automotive industry experience. From his humble beginnings in auto detailing as a teenager to his ascent through the ranks at Russell Speeders, his adeptness in team building, coupled with a focus on customer experience and operational efficiency, has consistently delivered results across multiple locations. His leadership is underscored by his role in spearheading innovative solutions, including the development and implementation of a customized operating software platform, which has revolutionized operations and upheld uniform standards throughout the company.


Chief Financial Officer

Steve Sung is the Chief Financial Officer for Summit Wash Holdings, having joined Summit in May of 2024. Steve brings over 25 years of experience in accounting and finance, most of which involving the financial management of multi-unit retail organizations.

Steve spent five years early in his career as an accounting professor, at both Dartmouth College and Washington University in St. Louis. Following that, Steve spent time in strategic consulting, followed by approximately 20 years of experience in specialty retail, supporting brands such as Bath & Body Works, Victoria’s Secret, Express, Ulta, and J.Jill. Immediately prior to joining Summit, Steve was the CFO of Alliance Animal Health, an organization which owns and operates veterinary clinics.

Steve holds a B.S.B.A. from The Ohio State University, a Master’s in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Ph.D. from Carnegie Mellon University.

Outside of work, Steve lives with his wife Dawn and their two children in Connecticut, and has an eclectic set of hobbies. Both Steve and Dawn have shown dogs (mainly in obedience) periodically over the last 25 years, all four members of his family have black belts in taekwondo, and everyone in his family has occasionally taken blacksmithing classes. Steve is also a former board member of Mutual Ground, an organization in Illinois devoted to serving the victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.


Chief Revenue

Jason serves as Chief Revenue Officer, overseeing revenue management, pricing, marketing and customer experience for Summit since his arrival in March of 2023. Prior to his time with Summit, Jason served as Senior Vice President of Marketing & Product Management at NCS. Jason entered the car wash space in 2015 when he co-founded SUDS®, a data-driven consumer-intelligence marketing agency that quickly became the largest in the car wash space, offering marketing, pricing, consumer analytics, and location analysis services for many of the largest car wash chains in North America. Jason is married to his wife Emily, and they have 7 kids (that is not a typo).


Chief Development

Raymond Underwood III has over 20 years’ experience in the areas of Finance, Corporate Development, M&A, Real Estate, Operations, and Project Management.  He is a driven executive with the ability to respond and react quickly, inspire others, and achieve results with excellence by developing a focused strategy and executing successfully by organizing teams and people for success.  Raymond is currently the Chief Development Officer for Summit Wash Holdings.  Previously he oversaw Development & Construction for Spotless Brands and Development and Operations for Woodies Wash Shack.  During his 10 years at TBC Corporation, he led in multiple roles of Strategy, Project Management, FP&A, Operations, Corporate Development, and Real Estate.  Raymond is active in his community, serving previously on the board of the Juno Beach Police Foundation and Fellowship of Christian Athletes Palm Beach County and supporting other charities such as Habitat for Humanity, Urban Youth Impact, Swing for Scholarships, and the PGA Corridor Association.  Raymond received from the Kellogg Executive Education Program in Strategic Mergers, Acquisition, and Alliances, his MBA from Florida Atlantic University, and his BBA in Finance from Stetson University. 


SVP, M&A, Transformation and Strategy

Reed Taylor oversees our M&A and Corporate Transformation activities. He brings over 10 years of experience across M&A, Corporate Strategy, and Operations.


Prior to Summit, he was President of Soapy’s Car Wash, one of several small businesses he acquired with his partners at Saddler Capital. Before that, he served as VP of Manufacturing for Spot & Tango and Project Leader at BCG focused on transaction consulting. Reed holds a B.S. from Penn State University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.


VP of Technology

Vince Scovern joins the Summit Wash Holdings team bringing over 25 years of car wash industry experience.  He started his career in car washing on the point of sale side of the industry working at DRB.  There he led the technical operations team that was responsible for the top escalated technical issues, product deployment, and operational data analytics.  Later in his career at DRB he led the internal IT and Cyber Security teams helping DRB build a top cyber security program in the industry and also helped through due diligence as DRB sold from private equity to a public company.  Vince has a formal IT and Cyber Security education background with a B.S. Systems Analysis & Design from Kent State University and holds a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from ICS^2.   Outside of car washing, Vince gives back to the community by being a part of the tech team at his church and volunteering as Baseball Field Operations Manager for his local Little League association.
